Setup
Typically I connect my guitar directly to my PC. I'm a big fan of Amp Locker for its cost and quality as an amp sim.
- Regular Playing:
- Guitar → Pedals (Optionally) → Steinberg UR12 Interface → Audio Assault Amp Locker.
- Recording:
- Guitar → Pedals (Optionally) → Steinberg UR12 Interface → REAPER.
Guitars
I have three guitars:
- Harley Benton Fusion-III HSH EB FPU
- Extremely versatile sound and plays great for lead and rhythm
- Killer bang for buck, although this exact model isn't available anymore
- Store Link (Archive)
- Schecter C-1 Platinum (White)
- Great quality and sound
- Perfect for heavier music
- Store Link
- Squier Affinity Strat (Candy Apple Red)
- First guitar
- Nothing special. It plays like a guitar and sounds like a guitar
- Decent value but Harley Benton offers more for a similar price
Gear
Pedals
- Digitech Drop
- By far my most used pedal
- Allows me to downtune or mimic a 7-string with a 6-string
- BOSS DS-1 Distortion
- My first pedal
- Probably your first pedal too
- BOSS BD-2 Blues Driver
- BOSS CS-3 Compression Sustainer
- Makes pinch harmonics and tapping sound much better
- BOSS MT-2 Metal Zone
- Unironic good pick
- BOSS DC-2w Dimension C Waza
Pedalboard
My pedalboard is a custom build with IKEA Hejne shelves and velcro. My pedal chain is as follows:
Guitar 🠞 Digitech Drop 🠞BOSS CS-3 🠞BOSS BD-2 🠞BOSS MT-2 🠞BOSS DC-2w 🠞 Amp/Interface
I currenly use a Truetone 1 Spot for power which I'm looking to upgrade. I'd like to fill out the board as my current setup uses just over 1/4 of it.
